Review:

I am such a sucker for chicks with exotic accents! I guess you could say I'm an "aural" man. For this reason alone, I have to admit that John Leslie's Bad Habits is definitely worth watching. The arousing resonance of Deidre Holland's sultry voice in her role as a sophisticated writer-type is enough to get me off with only the audio track. However, there is obviously more to this film, so let's move on to the plot.

In Bad Habits, Shawn(Holland) portrays a detective novelist seeking psychological counseling for her uncontrollable sexual compulsions and willing to try anything to cure them. Her therapist, Dr. Fisher(Randy Spears) tries to convince her that her problems come from her longing to be with a soul mate and lover from a past life, and that a revolutionary new hypnotic past life regression treatment might provide some further insight.

Not buying her therapist's theory, Shawn continues on with a party to celebrate the completion of her new book. There she hooks up with Jack, a delivery boy who unbeknownst to Shawn, is also a patient under her doctor's care...as well as under his thumb. Shawn has to use her own detective skills to not only find the cure for her compulsions, but also find her way out of a scam.

Now let's get to the action. I've already discussed my lust for the mere tone of Deidre Holland's voice. She also gives us three solid performances in Bad Habits, including two pretty good voyeuristic scenes. And although the behind-the-plants camera shots in her scene with Tom Byron added an excellent creative touch of realism, at times the plants covered up some of the best looking things on the screen, namely Holland. This point is probably my only real complaint about the whole film.

Some other scenes of note are a little role-playing scene with the voluptuous Tiffany Minx and Randy Spears, which had me typing my notes one-handed. Another scene from the shrink's office had Angela Ash, T.T. Boy and Michael J. Cox giving a whole new meaning to the term "sex therapy".  However, the scene that everyone will be talking about has got to be the opener... the tunnel shot with Dyanna Lauren. I am not going to give it away, but let's just say that I challenge you to find a man, or even a woman, who hasn't fantasized about doing this at least once.

I also have to give credit to the director, John Leslie. The best comment I can make about Bad Habits is a well rounded shot selection. Not a single second seemed overdone or repeated. So no matter what your personal camera-angle preference is, there is just enough for every taste. Overall, I'd have to say that although it's not anything ground breaking, Bad Habits contains very few of the "bad habits" you see in everyday porn.

I give it a 4...a very high 4!
