Travis Knight, having decided to work behind the camera as well as in front of it, sent us this DVD of his first production. The XXX Video Factory is strictly a pro-am affair, with Travis being the only pro and he only appears in two scenes. The extras include a large gallery with over fifty pictures, music video type bonus scenes with Gina Lynn and Pantera and information for girls or couples wanting to be featured in upcoming TK productions.

The mix of girls is nice, but all of them had the look of dancers wanting to be porn sluts. Victoria turned in the best performance, Pantera was the cutest and the rest were forgettable. Dolorian and Sarah Ashley tried too hard to sound like pornsters, plus Sarah's boob job should have remained covered.

Knight's attempt at vignette set-ups was weak and should have been left out in favor of actual interviews with the girls. Maverick's use of a mask ala 1950's porn was laughable. The camera work was adequate and technically it's better than most of the pro-am flicks available. The special effects during the bonus scenes are a bit cheesy but don't get in the way of the action. Pantera's bonus scene is nothing more than her initial scene re-edited and set to music. Gina Lynn's bonus scene is the highlight of the DVD and would be a reason for any fan to take a look.

For an initial attempt, this isn't bad. I'd like to have seen more professional studs and less cliched banter, but that's just me. Pro-am tapes are usually a crap shoot, but Travis's work with Jules Jordan and Pleasure take some of the risk out of it. The presentation here is good, if a little rough, and you'll probably find something to get your juices flowing. It's fun to see a first effort from a director and then watch how they progress. I have no doubt that Travis will get better as he goes along because he's off to a good start.
