Review: |
| Now this is supposed to be
about a girl(Tabitha Stevens) who comes to Hollywood, becomes a big star
and finds that reality doesn't live up to her dreams. That's what the box
cover says, but that storyline only lasts through the first scene. After
the first 15 minutes, I didn't know where they were going and I suspect
Paul Norman didn't either. For the next hour, you're introduced to character
after character, none having much to do with the original plot. Then in
the last scene, you find out that Tabitha's character has had them all
disposed of.
One Way Ticket was under-produced, under-directed, and over-cast. Norman tries to make up for the poor writing by enlarging the cast and throwing in extra sex scenes. That money should have been spent on better production and editing. This is a longer than usual sex flick, but the scenes are short and too much time is taken up with Kyle Stone doing narration in front of the camera. The editing is terrible, and Norman spends an inordinate amount of time on genital and facial close ups. The audio is unintelligible at times and the music is boring. This is not one of Norman's best efforts. Tabitha is the star of this movie, but she only appears on screen for the first and last scenes. These are good scenes with Tabitha giving her usual high-energy performance, but poor editing and directing detracted from them. More of Tabitha in this movie would have gone a long way to improving it's overall rating. Tabitha is too good looking and sexy to only be in two scenes. More is not always better. Scenes 2, 4, 5, and 6 really didn't have anything to do with the plot and that time could have been put to better use. These scenes aren't any worse than the rest of the video, they just weren't necessary. All the scenes were poorly shot and edited. Don't let the remote out of your hand, the less you hear of the plot, the better this movie is. PT says 2, with a little work it could have been a lot higher. |
