Review: |
| Our story starts with Becky(Julia Ann) being
interviewed in the empty parking lot of a drive-in movie in Oregon. She has found a
sweepstakes ticket in a candy bar that wins her a trip to Hollywood and a screen test with
the famous producer Gordon Sinclair(Marc Wallice). They leave immediately for the airport
in Gordon's limo and Becky can't even see her boyfriend, Lucky, before she leaves. They
arrive in Hollywood and Becky stays with Gordon and his girlfriend, Charlie(Jill Kelly).
Gordon is cheating on Charlie, and she knows it but still loves him. Julia is lonely and
Charlie is lonely, so what are two lonely girls to do, each other maybe. Becky becomes the
spokesmodel for the candy company and Gordon gets her an agent who takes her to a party to
introduce her to movie star Chaz Decker(Mark Davis). Chaz tells Becky that there may a
spot for her in some of his movies and they end up in his bedroom working out the details.
Charlie gets drunk because Gordon wouldn't let her go to the party and drowns in the pool.
Becky finds out that Chaz has a girlfriend and goes home. Lucky gets lucky. As bad as this synopsis is, it's better than the movie. Bad directing, production, music and dialogue, combined with poor storyline, editing and costumes, throw in barely above R-rated sex and you get a film that never should have been released. The sex scenes are very choppy, poorly lit, with poor audio, bad music and no continuity. Julia Ann's scenes looked rehearsed and were pretty boring. I kept waiting for them to heat up, but they never got above room temp. The first three scenes were extremely short as was the movie(1:09), and then Julia Ann's two boy/girl scenes bored me for 35 minutes. That's a shame, because I think Julia Ann is one of the best looking girls in the adult business and I can't wait to see that body put into overdrive. While the box says Wave Film, it's still a Vivid Video with all the Vivid production values; cheap sets, cheap script writing, and a "do 'em cheap and spend more money on marketing" attitude. It's your money, but I'd think twice before picking up a Vivid Video. PT says 2, just because Julia Ann was in it. © 2000 Smuttco, Inc. |
