Review: |
| Scene 5 - other=gay male masturbation Tina Tyler is in charge of security for a hotel and tells us about some of the things that go on in the elevator after the doors close. Of course she knows because she can see it all on the security camera monitor. Tina gives a brief narrative, at the beginning of each vignette, to explain what's going on. There's the interracial couple, both of whom are married. They meet every year to relive an adulterous affair that started in the elevator five years before. The boss, executive assistant and secretary finally turn their lust loose on the way up and things at work will never be the same again. The biker chicks, staying at the hotel for a convention, get each other's motor running on the way to their room. The older husband blindfolds his young wife and surprises her in the elevator with a young stud for their anniversary. In the finale, a couple and two guys are stuck in the elevator between floors. The woman freaks out and while her husband's trying to calm her down, the guys start to jack each other off. Tina is watching all this on the monitor and takes care of herself. I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I've seen a couple of Tina's blow job tapes and they were pretty good, but this is the first feature I've seen from her. Ok, it's not really a feature but a series of vignettes with a common theme. What I noticed right off, was that there weren't any extreme genital close-ups and the lighting was soft. The editing was also better than I expected for a cable/hardcore flick. The music was, what else, elevator music and just fit perfectly. Tina's intros for each scene were short and to the point and the dialogue was kept to a minimum. The costumes were just what you'd expect to see in a hotel, nothing slutty or garish. The overall effect is a believability that is all too rare in adult films. The cast is top rate with everyone turning in some good performances. I thought the opening scene with Nina and Sean was the hottest, but the next two scenes came close. The menage a trois with Don Hollywood, Brooke Hunter and Randy Spears was the weakest scene in the movie for me, there was too much weak dialogue and acting and the action looked too choreographed. Now, if you're offended by watching two guys jacking each other off, don't watch the last scene, but you'll miss out on seeing Tina play with herself. The girls will probably like this scene better than the guys, but after all it's Tina's movie and she made this the most erotic scene in the flick and as inoffensive as possible. I think more guys will like this scene than will admit it. This is a very interesting movie, relying more on eroticism than graphic sex. Tina Tyler has done a great job of putting this together with just the right amount of story and sex to create a film that lets the viewer suspend reality and believe in the possibilities of what's happening. For the hardcore raincoat crowd, used to the ever-escalating raunch and unbelievable scenarios, this may seem rather tame but they'll find plenty to stimulate their libidos. For my money, this is what a couples' film is supposed to be. It's not a thinly plotted, over lit half-ass attempt at a mainstream rip-off. It's a thoughtful presentation with a variation in scenes that assures something for everyone. The biggest drawback is that George Kaplan got into the last scene. The DVD extras are pretty basic, with trailers for four Pandora movies and a very nice thirty minute behind the scenes and interviews segment. Sorry, no gallery. PT says 4, very, very nicely done , Tina. |
