Review:

This is a very simple plot: Jenna is a tattoo artist who fantasizes about the origins of the tattoos she creates. There is little dialogue, which in most adult films is a good thing. I think it could have used a little more development for the sex scenes. Jenna Ink looks like it had all the sex scenes filmed and then tried to work a plot in around Jenna. There is occassional looping in the scenes, but not to the point of irritation. Throughout the film you can see characters mouthing the word "fuck", but for some reason the audio is deleted at that point. That was annoying and reminded me of watching a Leisure Time compilation video. All the shots of Jenna in her tattoo parlor were in black and white and underlit. That gave the feeling that the sex scenes were real and the parlor scenes were fantasies.

The poor camera work, quickly changing positions and over lit sex scenes never quite let you or the girls get into it. The music was too overpowering and didn't fit the content of the scenes. The sex in this movie is all right, but nothing outstanding. Jenna's final scene with Brad Armstrong was the longest and best of the bunch, but even this one had audio blanks and looping. The only scene that even came close to conveying the idea of a fantasy was the girl/girl scene with Jenna, Missy and studstress Felecia. The rest of the scenes looked like real time sex with good costumes and cheesy backgrounds that all went through the same choreographed positions.

This video has a great cast that was stifled by the directing and camera work. It lacked continuity and a working storyline. Jenna is a major star and I will continue to pick up her videos, but I wish she would be more selective in her choice of scripts and directors. Armstrong is an OK actor, but from what I've seen of his directing and writing efforts, he should stick to playing stud. Unfortunately that won't happen as long as he has Jenna for leverage. Maybe he can take lessons from Nic Cramer or Andrew Blake on how to create a fantasy scene. He held Dyanna Lauren's career down (her work without him is by far her best) and I'm afraid Jenna's falling into the same position. This is another film that had great potential and came up short. It's worth renting, just to see Jenna's DP with Armstrong and a dildo, but I wouldn't buy it.

PT says 3, and it makes money because Jenna's on the box cover.
