Review: |
| Scene 1 - other=double penetration including toy I have always been a fan of Antonio Passolini, and this movie definitely keeps me believing in that assertion. There are many superlatives I could think of when describing his talent as a XXX director, but let me explain that talent with this review. Passolini immediately throws us in the action with the introduction of Dr. Frederich Wolf (Anthony Crane) with an infomercial of how Sex World has helped many of his past clients. Infomercial directors should take notes from Passolini! After watching his clients' testimonials, Dr. Wolf let's us witness how Sex World helped a poor soul who was afraid his unit wouldn't perform after a reduction in his size. The patient (Voodoo) receives some eye-popping therapy from Dr. Wolf's robotic sex slaves--the Nurse (and Voodoo's real life wife, Nicole Sheridan), a stewardess (Justine Romee) and a cheerleader (Sandy Knight). Every guy's fantasy right? What a way to blast off, as these three ladies fight to "revive" their patient. We fast forward 25 years and are immediately placed into the plot of our story. Joanie and Jerry Freen (Julie Meadows and Randi Spears) have just tied the knot, but their honeymoon to Reno has taken a detour. Their car broke down (how convenient) and they decide to visit an old house for help. This is no ordinary house though, as an eccentric butler, who literally "drops" in on them, and a rabbit, greets them as the bellhop. He shows the newlyweds to their suite, although they didn't make reservations. It's clear that someone has been expecting them, but the young couple doesn't understand why at first. We quickly learn that our protagonists are not really honest with each other, and that they each have fantasies they are hiding (Ok, so it's not that original). Thankfully, they have accidentally entered Sex World, and Dr. Wolf will try to offer some marriage/sexual therapy. Sound similar to a movie popular around Halloween? Like any male, Jerry tries to make the best of the situation and tries to consummate the marriage, but Joanie refuses until they reach Reno. Flustered, Jerry decides to take a look around, while Joanie shows her naughty side and plays with herself in the bathroom fantasizing about somebody other than her husband. Meanwhile, Jerry runs into a talking clown head, which influences Jerry to watch a short movie from a Kinetoscope. Jerry cranks the picture along, and watches a Bridgette Kerkove looking like Marilyn Monroe, taking on double duty with a clown and a guy wearing a rabbit mask. If this sounds strange, well, it is. But the action is fabulous. I'm usually not a fan of feature porn, but Passolini knows how to pull it off. The sex scenes flow well with the story. The acting is decent for porn standards, though Meadows performs better swallowing loads than acting. The story is similar to that of Devil in Miss Jones 6, in that our couple's relationship is lacking communication. For their relationship to survive, it will take an outside force to rid themselves of their inhibitions. And does it ever. The Doctor's robots in the house make me wish I could rent one, especially the maid (Gina Ryder) Jerry gets to boff. Joanie gets to live out her fantasies by fucking her favorite soap star (Nick Manning) and indulging herself in a mini-gang-bang with three burger boys. By living out their fantasies, our couple is on their way to happiness in the end, but a question lingers at the end of the flick: Did it really happen? The flick is intense, minimally amusing, decently written, and tolerably acted. How Passolini captures the art of sex is this movie's strongest point. The editing has an unnoticeable flow during the sex, and all angles are utilized. The sets lend a surreal atmosphere to the entire movie, almost making the house a character in itself. The music equally blends well with every scene, most noticeably during Meadows' gang bang. If you enjoyed Passolini's past projects, I can confidently say you'll enjoy this one. This movie never really slows down-although the dinner scene between the couple and the Doctor could've been cut down by 5 minutes. The sex is ultra-intense and you'll want to rewind every scene to watch them over again. There's something for everyone in this epic sex odyssey, as well as outstanding performances from Meadows, Sheridan, and Ryder. Trapper easily gives this one a 5. Bring lots of lube and a couple of towels for this one! |
