I'm always a little skeptical whenever I see another performer trying to direct. The occasions when they really know what they're doing behind the camera are few and far between. When they try to perform in every scene as well, the chances of getting a good stroke flick, instead of a vanity exercise, decrease even more. That being said, you can imagine my level of enthusiasm when this ditty showed up.

Before I go any further, I have to say that Getting Stoned lived up to none of my expectations. With a cast of Brittney Skye, Roxy Jezel, Cytherea, Venus, Stephanie Tripp and Aria, it's hard to go wrong. I don't care if these girls were performing with blow-up dolls, there would still be enough heat to give the most jaded viewer a stiffy. The directing gets high marks simply for the casting. The production, camera work, editing and dialogue are also very good. In fact, this is a very good first effort from Lee Stone and makes me looks forward to part 2.

One of the best features of this DVD, is the extras. Ok, there's the usual chapter starts, web info and trailers. There's also seven minutes each of BTS footage and bloopers, both of which are so-so. The bonus scene with Venus and Cytherea enjoying each other is very hot. The big treat, though, is a segment called The Nastier Side which showcases each girl in a four to five minute masturbation scene...this is really good stuff.

I'm anxious to see what Lee can do when he devotes his efforts solely behind the camera, that will be the real test. In the meantime, this is an excellent first effort, a movie that you will be popping into the DVD player over and over, and not just for the scenes, but for the masturbation footage in the extras.
