Review: |
| The saga of life in the porn business continues. In this episode, the director doesn't show up and Sean(Dick Smothers, Jr.) has to take the helm. This is a fun movie to watch if you're not that interested in getting off. While this is meant to be a spoof of the porn industry, it's not that far off from the "serious" features that are produced in the valley. It's hard to spoof an industry that is already a spoof. The over the top and forced dialogue is just like every other stroke flick, so are they doing it on purpose or just doing what comes naturally? I don't know. The directing, production and costumes are Ok. The storyline is pretty good. The music is average. The editing and dialogue are really pretty good and give the movie its distinct feel. The girls are good looking, but the scenes are so staged that all the heat is lost. The one exception is Mari Possa's solo scene which has no bearing on the movie and seems to have been included as an after thought. The same is true of Rio Mariah's solo. DVD extras include chapter starts, ten minutes of BTS footage, trailers for twenty Nectar movies, a twenty-five picture slide show and ten minutes of blooper footage (this portion was skipping, broken up and pixilated to the point of being un-watchable on the disk I had). I think this could have been a lot better if they had left out Nick Manning's pick up lines, the discussion of smelly pussies and polyester and used some scenes that went with the movie instead of Mari Possa's and Rio's. They were just going in too many directions at once. Of course, with a spoof it's hard to tell. My thoughts are that the world doesn't need any more comedic porn. I'd rather watch two hours of unscripted BTS footage. So, this is a pretty good effort for a comedy, it's just not very good as porn. Watching it once was enough for me. I prefer Nectar's glossy gonzo to this. PT says 3, better than most comedy porn, but... |
