Scenes 7 and 8 - other=bonus scene

Adam & Eve goes gonzo! I never thought I’d see it. I wondered what a production company that was so entrenched in "romance novel" features would consider a hardcore gonzo flick. Surely it would have high quality production, exceptional camera work and slick editing...wrong!

I don’t know who Brett Maverick is. From what I can find out, this is his first directorial effort and it doesn’t make me want to look for his next. The only thing he did right was get a cast of proven hotties; Katja Kassin, Lauren Phoenix, Nikki Hunter, Melissa Lauren, Nadia Nyce, Jassie and Kody Coxxx. After that, he did all he could to remove any heat that may have been present in their scenes.

The production is terrible, with cheap sets and fuzzy video. The direction, camera work and editing are some of the most amateurish I’ve ever seen. The lighting was bad and created hot spots. There are seven scenes that last a total of eighty minutes and most of that is wasted on listening to Maverick giggle over the girl’s asses so you only get about forty-five minutes of action. The editing is so choppy that what little action there is looks like a trailer...no, that’s not right, I’ve seen more action in trailers. The costumes are ok, the music is almost bearable and the dialogue, mostly Maverick, stinks.

As far as extras go, there’s chapter starts, a ninety-three picture slide show and a bonus scene that ends without a pop shot. Hold it, they said Jassie’s scene was a bonus scene, but there’s another actual bonus scene.

Contrary to popular belief, there is more to making porn than buying a camera and hiring talent, at least if you want to make good porn. This flick is bust that I wouldn’t recommend even to fans of the performers and it all lays at the feet of the director, Brett Maverick. He needs to get a clue and maybe find another line of work. If this is the quality of movie that Bad Seed is going to produce, then Adam & Eve should look for another gonzo company. Even Luc Wylder’s stuff is better than this. If you feel that you have to see this movie, rent it and save some money. Better yet, find someone that already bought it and borrow it from them.

PT says 2, but only because of the cast. Hiring right does count for something.
