| For years, Patrick Collins has been appearing in and making adult films. Besides his career as a performer, he's also one of the best directors in the business. This movie is an example of Patrick at his best. Where do you start, the fabulous music, the stimulating lighting, the simple yet affective production, the powerful imagery, or maybe the believable characters. Of course, it could just be the high intensity sex. From start to finish, this movie grabs you by the dick and won't let go. Cytherea doesn't know how to give an average performance, but then neither does Venus or Nicki Hunter. The acting is very good, much better than you'd expect...especially when the sex is this good. Maybe it's because of the sparse dialogue. Collins takes you into a fantasy world, he doesn't show it to you, he takes you into it. You can forget about the remote, forget about the real world, forget about everything else. When was the last time a stroke flick had that effect on you? DVD extras are chapter starts, fifty minutes of BTS footage that documents each days shooting, trailers for five Elegant Angel movies, web site info and phone sex ads (gotta pay the bills). Patrick Collins has been a force in adult movies for quite a while. More directors than I can count have gotten their start with him and moved on to form their own production companies or work for others. I don't know why they don't stick with him, but if it helps to spread some of his knowledge through the industry, it can't be bad. Personally I think Patrick should do more directing himself. His ability to draw you into his world is uncanny, and he does it way better than 99% of the so-called feature film directors. PT says 5, Elegant Angel is hot right now and Patrick Collins is the reason why. |
