Review: |
| Kimmy is a psychic who has come to a mansion to help detective Rafe find out what happened to a missing girl. The mansion was a brothel at one time and the images that come to Kimmy are of the whores taking care of business, two at a time. In the end, Kimmy's vision is so strong that Rafe feels that he needs to help with her trance and uses his magic wand to help her go deeper. They never find out about the missing girl, but who cares. I saw a few of the earlier editions of this series and I wish they had kept the format of vignettes instead of trying to make a feature out of it. The script for this one must have taken at least thirty minutes to write and then maybe a day to complete the shooting. The audio is horrendous, the camera work is marginally good, the editing is poor and the music and story just suck. Kimmy is cute, but should not have had the lead role as her acting abilities are even worse than Rafe's. Jodie's role as a whore is perfect because her performances are never about passion or lust, she's just doing her job. She's very attractive, but her over-the-top vocals and porn cliches are too much(I'd like to see her in a scene where she really lost control). If you're a fan of close-up shots and don't mind fast-forwarding through the dialogue, you might enjoy this. I found it boring and repetitive after the first scene. It just looked too staged and the excessive close-ups never allowed the cast to develop any character or personality. PT says 2, the best part was watching Jodie before she got undressed. |
