| If Outlaw Productions plans on making Fresh of the Bus a series, they might want to rethink it. The idea is not bad: film new, young, naive, wannabe porn stars auditioning on the studio's casting couch. They are literally "fresh" and are expected to perform raunchy sex acts with strange men. The girls are interrogated by the director on a number of topics ranging from their current occupations to why they yearn to become the next star. Unfortunately, other than Envy, who unquestionably has potential, the other girls are anything but fresh. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect is that these are everyday women. Priscilla Jane, for example, is a psychology student who always wanted to fulfill the dream of getting laid on tape and get a face full of manjuice. Can you imagine having a girl like her sitting next to you in Psych 101? The other hopefuls though, absolutely have no shot, including the one male porn wannabe who loses his wood while pumping Sonja Redd. If that didn't pretty much ruin his chances, I don't know what would. The interviews are by far the most entertaining parts of the movie, so you get the picture that the sex scenes were dull. They could have been edited better, and there wasn't any energy except for Envy's scene. Many of the scenes were wearisome, and the sequence with Jade could have been left on the cutting floor along with many other parts. By the way, are the male "professionals" themselves fresh off the bus? The back of the DVD cover is correct when it claims that the girls know what they're doing, but that's not saying much. It wasn't like they were going to get a real virgin on their set. At least they could've found, or accepted, more appealing young ladies than settling, and pardon me for saying, trashy prospects. Maybe Outlaw should have a more stringent criteria in the future for who can and can't audition. Trapper gives a 2, only because of Envy, and some of the sex is filthy. |
