Scene 19 - other=bonus scene

Before I get started, let me tell that the cover is a little misleading. There is no lesbian sex. There are eighteen girls, not thirteen. Finally, the cover alludes to Lenny Travoni as the director and the credits on the disk say it's Stanley Miranda. What this disk is about is Latin beauties playing with themselves. Eighteen girls in eighteen distinct scenes with the action ranging from little more than titty rubbing to no-holds-barred pussy abuse with a dildo.

Normally the sheer volume of scenes would insure that you'd find something to pique your interest, but the diversity of action, creative camera work, inspired sets and costumes along with the flawless editing guarantees it. Miranda's mix of indoor and outdoor scenes, his use of subtle lighting and choice of music enable him to maintain a high level of eroticism even for the less explicit scenes. This is an excellent piece of movie magic that goes way beyond what we've come to expect from porn. The only drawback is that the number of scenes dictate that they be short. I'd like to have seen half as many scenes that were twice as long, and a second edition.

For those of us that live in the southwest, we think of dark hair and dark skin when we think of Latinas. This movie shows how narrow that view is. The diversity of scenes is matched by the diversity of girls shown. Tall, short, blonde, brunette, clean shaved, bushy, small breasted and big boobed, like everything else about this flick, the theme is variety. What I liked best is that the girls weren't fed English lines or any at all, for that matter, and what dialogue there is seems to be truly spontaneous.

This disk has the usual Elegant Angel features with chapter starts, a bonus scene, trailers for five recent releases, a web site plug and phone sex ads.

Elegant Angel's Patrick Collins has shown a knack, over the years of finding very good directorial talent and allowing it to develop. He can't hold on to them, but some of the best in the business got their start with him. It'll be interesting to see if Miranda is one of his new protégés or just a flash.

This is a very fine piece of erotic cinema...it's really too well done to be called porn. It's very thoughtful, tasteful and sensuous. It may be considered a warm-up flick for the hardcore perv, but don't be surprised if you find yourself leaving this movie in your easy-to-get-to stash so you can scan some of the scenes over and over, again.

PT says 4, a very high 4 that needed one more scene like Isis Fischer's to make it a 5.
