Review: |
| Baby Dolls is basic, no-frills gonzo that has a nice mix of new girls and fan favorites. Most scenes start with a short interview or intro and then they bring the guys in to help the babes show what they can do. The production is poor. With the camera-mounted mike it's hard to hear during the interviews and the sound levels are very inconsistent. The camera work is jumpy in spots. The sets are pretty bare. Good editing and cute costumes make up for a lot of the flaws, except the sound. At least with the poor sound quality you're spared a great deal of the off camera dialogue during the intros. Ok, you can tell that I'm not real thrilled about the presentation. What this little ditty does have going for it is Brittney Skye, Charmane Star and Simone. Put these three hotties on a box cover and you're pretty much guaranteed to get the sales. Even though the director had them playing to the camera, these girls are still too hot. It also has some proven studs in Cheyne Collins, Tyce Bune and Trevor Zen. So much of the recent gonzo is a collection of porn wannabes that you'll only see a few times. It's nice to see some recognizable names. With all the new production companies popping up and then dropping out of sight, Baby Doll and Cherry Boxxx have been churning out a lot of product in their first six months and I think it shows in the production quality. But they have made a commitment to their fans by landing some high profile contract girls such as Simone, Dayton Rains and Monica Mayhem. In the meantime, there's some highly strokable material here, it just could have been packaged better. Still, I'm picking up any flick that gives me a chance to watch Brittney Skye on her hands and knees. PT says 3, Charmane Star is such a cute little fuck toy. |
