| Stuart Canterbury has hit
upon a great combination, Shakespeare and porn. Anyone who has read the
Bard knows that he was a major pervert and his works translate very nicely
into adult cinema. Fairies, aphrodisiacs, mind control, beastiality and
transexuality are all parts of the original story, so there wasn't a lot
of rewriting to make it work.
The actors did outstanding jobs for the most part with special kudos going to McKayla, Nina Hartley and Ava Vincent. The production was some of the best I've ever seen in an adult film and rivaled many mainstream projects. Canterbury's treatment of the story was masterful and compelling. The make-up and costuming were superb. I could go on, but I think you get the picture, this is a very well done movie. The sex scenes are beautifully done and are intricate to the plot, they maintain the flavor of the movie and fit very nicely. The editing was great and the camera work was top notch. The viewer gets the feeling that they are attending a play which is how the story was written to begin with. Now for the bad news...either Sydnee Steele's lines were written separately or she ad libbed them, because she was talking 2000 American while everyone else was speaking medieval English. That was the only flaw I saw in the movie. Don't run out and rent this video thinking that you're getting some serious stroke material, cause you won't. What you'll get is a very good movie with some outstanding acting and sets. Maybe this movie should have been made for cable, but the X-rated version is very, very tasteful. This could be the perfect video for someone who wants to introduce their partner to adult cinema. This video gets high marks, not for it's sexuality, but because it is so well acted, directed and produced. I just can't get over the performances turned in by the entire cast, especially McKayla and Ava. Everybody already knew that Nina could act. PT says 5, break out the popcorn,
